Socks and Waking Shoes – A Good Pair of Socks Matter
Wearing the right sock for your walking shoe matters. If you’re just loafing around the house nice thick socks are fine, but if you’re going to do a bit of walking there are other considerations. Look for a synthetic sock that wicks away moisture and sweat since cotton gets wet and stays wet.
Socks should fit right for your walking shoe. They should be thin and form fitting. You don’t want them bunching up inside your shoes. Newer designs come with no toe seams which eliminate pressure points; also the come with extra cushioning for under the heel and toe.
Some use antiperspirant on their feet and claim that it prevents chafing, fungus and blisters and say it’s better than powder.
